I’m Michael Smith — founder of Guardian Health & Wealth in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a licensed insurance broker, and the author of 64+: Your Ultimate Guide to Medicare & Retirement Planning.

For the past 15 years I’ve helped people make sense of their coverage. I started this agency because I kept hearing the same worry from family, friends, and neighbors: they were turning 65 with no idea what to do about Medicare — afraid of a mistake, a penalty, or a gap they wouldn’t see until it was too late. That fear is real. It’s also completely fixable, and fixing it is what I do every day.

My work is a conversation, not a pitch: your doctors, your prescriptions, your timeline. We represent multiple national insurance organizations — including Humana, Aetna, Wellcare, UnitedHealthcare, Anthem, and Devoted Health — which means my job is fitting a plan to you, not fitting you to a plan.
